UKRM Compensating Device
The UKRM compensating device (arc-suppression coil unit) automatically compensates capacitive earth-fault currents and prevents single-phase earth faults from developing into short circuits. It is used in isolated-neutral 6–10 kV, 50 Hz three-phase networks.
The device consists of an earthing arc-suppression reactor with an automatic tuning system for the compensation mode, a zero-sequence earthing filter, and a voltage transformer.
